This was a technical group dissertation completed in the final year of my Masters Engineering degree. The brief was to design a miniature flowmeter that would not promote the growth of microbes when measuring water consumption in taps and showers. A functional prototype was manufactured and tested, and the project included a proposal for a final design. The research and selection of a suitable technology to satisfy the brief was conducted collectively. My primary contribution was the final design of the flowmeter components and assembly shown below.
